In addition to the aesthetic benefits of maintaining memorials in good condition, Health and Safety legislation now requires Local Authorities and Churches to make sure that memorials are maintained in a safe condition. As a result, many older memorials have been deemed unsafe and their owners required to take remedial action.
We are also able to add lettering to an existing memorial to match the style already on the memorial.
All our memorials are re-fixed [where appropriate] using NAMM approved ground anchors and in accordance with the NAMM 'Codes of Working Practice'. All our masons are fully trained and hold the appropriate BRAMM Fixers Licence, without which it is against the law to erect or renovate memorials.
In addition, we have undertaken contract work for Local Authorities and Church Councils, to re-fix memorials deemed unsafe, or in need of urgent repair, now making J Rawson and Sons one of the leading companies in Memorial restoration.
